The Whitebeard Pirates Crack-Kids Family

• Marcel is a very pretty man. Even the guys want him. He can pass for a woman with very little trouble, and in fact enjoys doing so, mainly because he can scam random guys at the bar into doing stuff for him. It helps that he has quite a light, feminine voice, and he tends to use feminine mannerisms and body language. Towards his family, he's a cheerful, optimistic, fun-loving person to be around - has more similarities with his Uncle Ace than either of his parents. He's three minutes younger than Tharaman, but tends to be the leader out of the two.

He started growing his hair long when he was ten and fed up with continually being mistaken for Tharaman. They're identical twins, with hair the same shade of wheat-gold and the same dusky blue, heavy-lidded eyes and arched eyebrows. He is tall, about 6'2" as an adult, and slightly skinnier than Marco, which is about the only physical difference between them.

He has a form of bipolar disorder: in his case it's characterised by episodes of elevated mood and energy levels, sometimes lasting for days, and often followed by episodes of depression and nonexistent energy levels, which when they're particularly bad can keep him bedridden for up to a week. He also inherited from his Bear Islander granddaddy, Balder, a natural predisposition towards berserker rages. He can, and will, fight on through otherwise incapacitating injuries, plus he's much stronger and faster than even the New World average, and has a reaction time of next to nothing while in this state. He has a natural disposition towards Busoshoku Haki, and has an affinity for swords bigger than he is.

• What Laura wants, she gets. She's straightforward, blunt, kinda demanding, a real brattish-princess archetype, although she knows when to quit the brat act... she just doesn't often do so. If she ever met Nami she'd hate her guts, because they've kinda got more similarities to each other than they'd care to admit. But around her family and closest friends she switches between this and bouts of surprising warmth and generosity. As the right-hand-girl of the future Pirate Queen, she tends to take care of a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff, and though at first glance she's the more outgoing of the two, she is in fact the Dragon to Iyo's Big Bad, at least as far as the Marines are concerned She also has a bit of a daddy complex, and when Marco turns up she gets even more demanding and attention-seeking than normal...

She has Loki's sea-blue, slanted eyes and fair skin, but her hair is a shade of white-blonde inherited from her maternal grandmother, Idonea Svartsengi. However, she has a thing for dyeing, it, so by stages it becomes bright red, auburn, chocolate brown and ashy black. She is average height, with a much curvier build than Loki.

She loooooves polearms, and occasionally spars with her big brothers (she can dump Tharaman on his behind any day, but Marcel is much harder to beat ) She's got natural Kenbunshoku haki, and I'm currently wrestling with a slightly less mainstream idea... no spoilers yet though As the Pirate Queen's sidekick, she's gotta have some way to keep up with Iyo, right?

• Tharaman is the strange one of the three. He's a skilled cook, Destry's apprentice, and something of a mad scientist. He has an imagination, and the logical ability to really do something with it. He's also got an evil streak a mile wide, and he will put spiders in your bed if you piss him off. He is cool, calm and collected, with every bit of his parents' practicality, and not much brain space left over for warmth or love. Consequently, he has very few friends, and his parents occupy pride of place within his heart. Marcel and Laura annoy him to no end, but he still loves them.

He is basically the same as Marcel, just with messily-cut, shorter hair, glasses (he needs them because one eye doesn't see very well, thanks to a childhood misadventure with the end of one of the rigging ropes) and more narrowed eyes. He likes wearing white, orange and red, which are far from being his best colours, but he has a crap sense of fashion anyway so he doesn't really care...

Like Marcel, he has a berserker side, and it's even more pronounced with him because he's usually so calm and restrained. He doesn't fight much, however, because he's a sedentary, slow sort a person, just like his beloved reptiles, and using his berserker side often strains his muscles and lands him in the medical bay for a day or two at least. When he does fight, he uses a specially modified rifle.
